The Pretty Reckless~Going To Hell~Review

The Pretty Reckless are one of my favourite bands but they are indeed an acquired taste, but personally I love them! They're a rock band formed in 2007 and released their first debut album 'Light Me Up'  in 2010. But recently they have released their new album 'Going To Hell'.

There is a very different feel to the music than  from the first album and I have heard very diverse opinions about it, however I really like it. Some songs our soft and sweet ans sound beautiful with Taylor's raspy voice, and others are quite heavy and powerful, but both equally as amazing.

I have to say, that to me, Taylor is a lyrical genius, the messages she puts forwards in her songs are inspiring and the way she words things, is so very, very smart. Taylor and the band get a lot of crap from the public, saying that her words are poisonous but if you really listen to some of their songs, they have a beautiful message. I also know how they get judged for the way they display their music in videos, on stage and photo shoots, but at the end of the day, it's art and no one would think twice about it if it was painted on a canvas but that is just the way people see the world I guess.

Anyways.. I love the album, and can't wait until they tour England, so I can see them, I defiantly recommend them, if you're are into rock. :)

Prom!

Hiya guys! On Thursday I had my Prom and I honestly wasn't expecting to love it as much as I did! I thought that I'd run through my dress, hair and make-up for you! I'm going to put all of the links of products and people at the end...

First of all I got my hair done by Lucille, she was so kind, lovely and very talented! For my hair I used black human hair extensions. She first of all curled my natural hair with a curling tongs and curlers, she then sprayed my natural hair with hair spray to allow it to set.

Whilst waiting for my hair to set, she then began curling the extensions with the curling tongs. After she finished curling the extensions, she let my natural hair out of the curlers and sprayed it with more hairspray, she then blended the extensions into my natural hair, spraying the hair with hairspray as she went. Then she pinned back the front of my hair to show my ears. Finally she sprayed some shine spray, to make my hair appear shiny and healthy. I love love loved my hair so much! So thank you Lucille!

Afterwards I got my make-up done by a lady called Heather, she was also very friendly an equally as talented. I'm not going to go through what she did, and what she used because I don't actually know, however I used a pair of really pretty false eye lashes by Katy Perry-Cool Kitty. I haven't worn false eyelashes before, but they were really light and natural looking and really well made, so I defiantly

would recommend them!I really loved my make-up so thank you Heather!

Finally it was time to put on my dress! This was the part that I was most excited for! My dress was a separate skirt and corset, the only fault with the dress would be that the corset clips at the front were extremely difficult to get together, it seemed that the indents weren't deep enough, but other than that, I loved it! It was the perfect dress!

Prom was an amazing night, with amazing people! I'm so glad I went , Our prom was held at Goosedale Conference and Banqueting, it had beautiful decor and scenery, it was just a perfect night and I couldn't have been happier! So now it is a new chapter in my life and I couldn't be more excited  to start it...

Nails

Hiya guys! So today I had my nails done for my prom which is tomorrow! I'm really excited! I went to a salon in Nottingham, Hucknall called, Le Belle. It's a really cute little place, with beautiful decor, however appearance isn't everything. When going to book the appointment I showed the nail technician the design that I wanted with a few changes- I didn't want the stripes and I wanted the main colour to be black.
Here it is:

She said that this design was do-able and was happy to do it. So I booked the appointment for the 25th June. However when I went into the salon today, there was a different woman there, and she didn't think that she was able to achieve the design but she said that she would have a go. I then went on to explain to her that a different woman said that it was do-able. Needless to say what I was given, was not what I wanted.

First of all a few of the nails were placed on my finger wonky, and looked lob-sided, they made my fingers bleed, and they weren't painted the colour that I originally wanted. I honestly wouldn't of mined if they told me that they couldn't do it before i booked the appointment so that i could go somewhere else but they didn't. 

On a whole, my nails don't look too bad but things could have gone better, so remember to look around before you book somewhere and read other people reviews. And something that I wish that I would have done, if you don't like the way the technician is doing your nails, say something! Don't keep quiet because you won't end up with your desired result.

I'll remember to do that next time!

This was the result of my nails, they're still nice but not what I wanted. 

But to be honest I don't think I will be going there again, I'll try somewhere new!
